Calveley Church
| A visit by the
Saint Christopher Chorale for the first Sunday in February was a moving
occasion. We had elected to change our usual routine and have Communion
in- stead of Matins. All agreed that their brilliant choral performance
enhanced our worship.
The Calveley Church Committee met on the 7th, February and was pleased that Walter Done was able to be present. Our future intentions regarding Family Worship were discussed. The Committee heard from Trevor the results of a meeting called the previous week with Tom Crotty to hear about the level of possible support available from the P.C.C. Worship Committee. With their positive response, we are now pleased to announce that Tom and Andrew Dean will assist Trevor at our first "All Age" Service which will be held at Calveley on Mothering Sunday, March 10th, at 10.45 a.m. Families, new and regular worshippers, in fact every- one is most welcome. We have been asked for Services such as these and initial support is vital for us to determine the frequency of future dates which will be in addition to our normal 1st and 3rd Sundays. Also arranged at this meeting was a "Prayer Time in Holy Week" which will be held at Church on Wednesday, 27th, March at 8.00 p.m. Trevor will lead a topic for discussion. We hope as many people as possible can spare 45 minutes of their time in support of this new venture. D.W. |
