St. JUDE'S CHURCH

A new carpet has been laid the full length of the aisle in St. Jude's Church, provided by the generosity of a small number of parish- ioners. It replaces the old carpet, which had unfortunately suffered some damage. Except for the flower vases, the brass has been lacquered, a move greatly appreciated by all those helpers who have undertaken brass- cleaning in the past.

During the Service on July 22nd, the Young Teenagers of St. Jude's enacted the

story of the Good Samaritan. They were ac- companied by a talented group of musicians and singers.

July 29th was the date of our annual Ploughman's Lunch, held, with kind per- mission, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Morgan-Wynne. As it was a very hot day, the use of the marquee was greatly ap- preciated. This very successful event raised the sum of £1126.00.
