Honour for Frank Woodward

The Chairman of the Royal School of Church Music, Chester Area, Mr. David Ricketts, has announced that the Council of the R.S.C.M. have decided to present Frank Woodward with a new and prestigious award, The Certificate of Special Service to Church Music.

There are to be no more than five of these awards per year over the whole of the U.K.; therefore Frank is one of the first persons to be so honoured. The presentation will be made by Mr.Ricketts on behalf of the Council during the Annual Festival Area Service in Chester Cathedral on Saturday, 27th, October at 5.30 p.m. This service, entitled "Pilgrim Praise", will be sung by choirs from churches all over Cheshire.
