This year's May Day Bank Holiday on 1st May will see an afternoon of Family Fun at the biennial Garden Party organised by The Children's Society at Capesthorne Hall near Macclesfield. Once again we are grateful to Mr. and Mrs. William Bromley-Davenport for allowing us to use the grounds of the Hall for this event.
There will be games, stalls, competitions, entertainment and side-shows from the time that the grounds open at 12 noon. And there will be a Fancy Dress Competition for the under 10s with judging taking place at approximately 2.30 p.m. This is open to all children just bring your costume.
The Children's Society is one of Britain's leading childcare agencies working with some of our most vulnerable children through over 90 projects in England and Wales. Every day we help runaways in danger on the streets, children and families in some of the country's most deprived communities, pupils having problems at school and teenagers held on remand in adult prisons.
By supporting our efforts at Capesthorne Hall you will be helping us to carry on with this vital work and having fun at the same time.
Capesthorne Hall is on the A34 near Macclesfield in Cheshire. Entrance to the event is £5 per car and parking is free. Parish trips are welcome.
We hope to see you at Capesthorne Hall on Monday 1st May.
If you believe every child deserves a decent chance in life, you believe in everything we stand for.
