Everybody has one but they're quite unique:
Some are big and bossy; some are mild and meek;
Others are cute and tiny, or even straight and tall;
Some are round and cuddly; others are quite small.
They can be guardian angels; they can be warriors bold;
They can be a nurse or friend and worth their weight in gold.
They'll fight to protect you from any kind of harm,
And their arms are very comforting, safe and warm.
They can roar like lions if someone does you wrong,
Or be gentle little lambs, protective all night long.
Sometimes they get angry if you don't do what you're told,
But you know they love you, even though they scold. .
They are sent to us from Heaven above
To give us their free, unstinting love.
Who can be this paragon who copes with all our bother?
Of course, you will have guessed by now - she's everybody's mother!
