Rick Gates' institution by the Bishop of Birkenhead and induction by the Archdeacon of Chester took place on the 9th of November. St Boniface was packed with parishioners from Bunbury and Tilstone Fearnall together with visitors from Rick's old parish at Norton, Runcorn and clergy from other churches including a representative of the Methodists of our village. We were also honoured by the presence of the First Warden of the Haberdashers (our Patron) and the Mayor and Mayoress of Crewe and Nantwich. The service was followed by a 'bun fight' in Aldersey School.
